Vintage Talavera Style Mexican Folk Art Pottery Blue Serving Bowl with Handles Decorated with Painted Calla Lilies, Lirio de Cala
This beautiful ceramic serving bowl is hand painted in the Talavera style with white calla lilies and foliage on a cobalt blue background. Though difficult to see, the maker's mark on the bottom reads Mexico. It is in good vintage condition and measures 5 1/4" in diameter (6" W from handle to handle) x 2" H (2 1/4" H at handles). There is some crazing beginning to present in the glaze, as pictured, lending to the vintage feel of the pottery. This would also make a lovely storage dish for keys, jewelry, or other trinkets, or could even be used as a candle holder or mounted and hung as part of your plate wall.
