Vintage Hand Painted Delft Blue and White Mustard Jar from Holland marked Echte Zaanse Mosterd Zaandam
This beautifully hand painted Delft Blue mustard pot showcases scenes of flowers on the sides and lid as well as a windmill on the back of the jar, interspersed with gorgeous decorative patterns in blue on the white body. It is such a work of art! The lid has a cork that fits securely in the jar. There are 2 chips on the lid, as pictured, and a slight bit of mustardy discoloration inside and on the body of the jar itself, as pictured. Some crazing beginning to develop, as expected based on the age of the piece. Price is reflective of the imperfections. Maker's mark on the bottom, as pictured. Measures approximately 3 3/8" H x 2 1/2" W. This would make a lovely decorative piece or can still be used for storage.
